October 6th: Exercise of Ignorance
In 1989 D. Michael Risinger, Mark P. Denbeaux and Michael J. Saks wrote an article that was published
in the Pennsylvania Law Review entitled Excorism of Ignorance As a Proxy for Rational Knowledge: The
Lessons of Handwriting Identification Expertise. This article attacked the field of handwriting identification
as being unsupported with scientific research that would validate the work of Forensic Document Examiners.
Highlights of this article will be discussed.
There will be no class on September 29th.
Future Classes
